About Zensical Studio¶

Zensical is our Open Source tooling for building technical documentation and other knowledge-focused content. It contains everything you need to build your project.

Zensical Studio is project-aware authoring tooling that supports you as you work with the Docs-as-Code approach. It gives you immediate feedback through syntax highlighting, completions, refactoring, and validation. It works in the editor of your choice (Visual Studio Code supported at launch), so it's easy to get up and running in 5 minutes.

You no longer need to evaluate and choose combinations of editor extensions from multiple sources. Instead, you get an integrated solution that works across your entire project. Zensical Studio supports Python Markdown, including the extensions that Zensical itself supports. Unlike other extensions, it is also project-aware and can provide the most accurate support for work with Zensical and MkDocs projects.

At launch, Zensical Studio already provides a strong authoring experience, but our roadmap shows that this is only the beginning. See the workflows pages for examples of how you can use Zensical Studio in everyday authoring tasks.
