What's included¶
We've created Zensical Spark for professional teams that consider documentation mission-critical, from early-stage startups to large organizations. We offer three subscription tiers, each building on the benefits of the previous one:
Startup tier¶
The Startup tier is our entry-level offering access to all new features that we develop closely with our Zensical Spark members. Additionally, it provides you with a direct channel to reach and talk to the Zensical team and offers opportunities to participate in our design process.
The following benefits are included in the Startup, Professional, and Partnership tiers.
Early access to new features¶
Zensical Spark members get early access to new features before they become generally available. While we immediately release all functionality for reaching feature parity with Material for MkDocs, new functionality that wasn't part of Material for MkDocs is released in Zensical Spark first.

Hands-on migration support¶
For organizations moving from Material for MkDocs, MadCap Flare, or other systems to Zensical, we offer hands-on support to make the migration seamless. By identifying the functionality and plugins you need most, we plan and prioritize their development to ensure you can switch to Zensical without missing essential features.

Access to the Zensical team¶
With Zensical Spark, you gain direct access to the Zensical team for guidance, professional support, and in-depth conversations. While bug reports and low-level feature requests flow through GitHub, Zensical Spark provides direct support for your organization.

Take part in our design process¶
Zensical is Open Source. Our design process ensures that we're building features that truly matter to our users. As a Zensical Spark member, you can actively participate in this process by providing feedback on designs, prototypes, and proposals before they are finalized. This involvement allows you to shape the direction of Zensical and ensure it meets your organization's requirements.
Excerpts of Zensical Advancement Proposals (ZAPs) are published publicly, but full proposals and the ability to contribute feedback and co-design are exclusive to Zensical Spark members.

Troubleshooting support¶
When you run into problems while using Zensical, the Zensical team helps you troubleshoot and resolve them efficiently. In Zensical Spark, we help you to promptly identify the root cause of problems – whether they stem from configuration, customization, or issues within Zensical itself – delivering support far beyond what our GitHub issue tracker can provide.

Bug reporting assistance¶
Thanks to our structured bug reporting process, most issues can be resolved within 24–48 hours. This process relies on detailed information to diagnose and fix problems effectively. As a Zensical Spark member, we assist you in creating minimal reproductions, accelerating the path from bug discovery to resolution, reducing delays and keeping your workflows running smoothly.

Workshops¶
Beginning in 2026, we'll host regular interactive workshops covering advanced configuration, customization, module development, and professional use of Zensical. While primarily designed for Zensical Spark members, these sessions are also open to external participants. This helps your team build expertise and maximize the value of Zensical and our other Open Source projects.
Organizations that are members of the Startup tier receive a 50% discount on workshop fees, while Professional and Partnership tier members can attend workshops at no additional cost.

Professional tier¶
The Professional tier builds upon the Startup tier by adding more direct engagement opportunities with the Zensical team. It is designed for organizations that want to talk to us regularly, stay closely involved with our work, and get insights into upcoming features.
The following benefits are included in the Professional and Partnership tiers.
Open video call bi-weekly¶
Zensical Spark members are invited to bi-weekly live video sessions with the Zensical team. In these calls, we provide project updates, as well as live demos of features we're working on, giving you the chance to provide early feedback. 20-minute slots for personalized Q&A are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Slots are limited per call.
This is an open call, so other Zensical Spark members benefit as well. In case you want to discuss matters privately, opt for the Partnership tier, which includes monthly 1:1 calls with the team.

Evergreen video course coming soon¶
We're developing a comprehensive, continuously updated video course covering essential Zensical features and best practices. This course is designed to help onboard new team members, deepen expertise, and teach how to customize and extend Zensical. Members can learn at their own pace while staying up to date as Zensical evolves.
Work on the video course will start in 2026.

Partnership tier¶
The Partnership tier builds on the Professional tier by providing an additional private channel with the Zensical team. It is designed for organizations that require confidential collaboration, dedicated support, and a closer and direct partnership with the Zensical team.

Private channel with us¶
As a Partnership member, we provide you with a private, organization-specific discussion channel to talk to us. This secure space allows you to share sensitive details, discuss internal constraints, and provide context that you do not wish to post in the public spaces within Zensical Spark. All information shared in this channel remains confidential.

1:1 calls with the team¶
Partnership members receive a dedicated hour of direct support with the Zensical team each month. These sessions give you focused, personalized guidance on anything from troubleshooting to strategic planning. Unused time rolls over for up to three months.

Mutual NDA¶
We provide a standard mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to protect the confidentiality of your projects and strategic conversations with the Zensical team. This ensures that sensitive information can be shared securely and forms a trusted basis for deeper collaboration.
If your organization requires enhanced confidentiality or specialized terms, we can also support custom NDA arrangements. Please note that these may incur pass-through legal costs and can extend the onboarding timeline.
