Content policies

This guide outlines how we distinguish between public content and private, confidential data.

Content

Zensical Spark's value is collectively generated by its members – from participating organizations, key ecosystem maintainers, to the Zensical team. The insights and discussions that emerge within this community directly inform and guide the development of our systems, driving innovation and shaping a more effective future for knowledge creation and documentation.

To preserve the integrity and ongoing value of this collective knowledge, all public contributions are maintained as a permanent part of Zensical Spark, even if a member cancels and their account is anonymized. This approach ensures that conversations and threads remain coherent for other participants while removing personal identifying information – a standard practice in professional communities where continuity of discussions is key.

The insights generated within our community continue to inform and support professionals in the long term, providing value well beyond any individual member's participation.

Channels

Zensical Spark offers both public channels for community-wide discussions and private channels for members who need to share confidential insights according to their organization's policies.

Public channels

Public channels are visible to all Zensical Spark members and provide an open space for asking the Zensical team for help, showcasing projects, collaborating, and exchanging knowledge. All content can be read, liked, shared, or commented on by any member in the space.

Sharing information in public channels

When contributing to public channels, please be mindful of your organization's confidentiality requirements. Only share information you're authorized to disclose and avoid posting sensitive or confidential details. If confidential information is mistakenly shared, the Zensical team may intervene to protect sensitive data.

Private channels

Private channels are restricted to specific members – only those included can read, share, and engage with the content. These channels may be dedicated to a single organization, as well as specific groups, such as members from the same subscription tier.

Always review the channel description and member list before contributing to ensure you understand who has access to the information you want to share.

Chats

Chats provide private, one-on-one or small group conversations visible only to the participants. They are best suited for quick, informal questions rather than in-depth discussion, as the conversation history is not accessible or searchable for the wider community.

For topics of broader interest or lasting value, please use dedicated channels. This ensures important insights remain visible, discoverable, and useful to all members over time.

Accounts

All accounts are visible to the Zensical team for administrative purposes, but the mandatory information you provide during setup remains hidden from other members. Other members can only see your username when you actively participate in channels.

Anonymization

If your subscription is cancelled, how we handle your account depends on your activity. Accounts that contributed to public channels will be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve community discussions. Accounts that only engaged in private channels that belong to an organization will be fully deleted along with all content within those channels.
